CHOPS, a new full-length documentary film featuring Essentially Ellington, premiered in May 2007 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The story follows one high school jazz band's journey from their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida to the Big Apple to participate in the 11th annual Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival.
Stay tuned! The film will swing its way through theaters nationwide in Spring 2009.
